we can’t believe it’s already labor day weekend. um, excuse us, but where the hell did summer go? we’re not sure that we’re ready for a seasonal change yet, so we’re avoiding the inevitable by getting out of town for a few days. jen will be in palm springs, tara’s headed to michigan, and alison’s going…. backpacking? (we hope that she’s at least bringing a bottle of champagne along, because it’s not really a “vacation” without it.) how are you spending the holiday weekend? whether you’re staying in town, or jumping on a plane, or headed into the mountains with a 40 pound bag on your back, we’ve got your reading material covered:

if there’s anything that suri’s burn book has taught us, it’s that kids can have some serious style. so, we weren’t surprised to discover babiekins magazine, where each page is filled with little ones dressed in fashion that rivals our own (on a good day.)

we  especially liked the stripes and flowers story in issue 8 shot by jessie kenney and styled by heather rome. these little whippersnappers looked pretty amazing loaded up with our pom pom and organza flowers.  now we need to get our hands on some kids of our own, so we can play dress up, too.

well the gals at ban.do have certainly got quite the button collection happening these days. some might even look at our stash and consider us “flair hoarders.” still, we don’t care what anyone else says – we just can’t stop! it’s like they are little emotional billboards for your clothes.  a dress can now tell people you’re a “sweet young thing,”  or your favorite boyfriend blazer can let everyone know it time to “be positive!” jen once went into a job interview with her “it’s all here” pin on. . . needless to say, she got the job.

so  this addiction got us thinking that we should design some ban.do flair and we want some input. here’s your chance to boss us around.  tell us what kind of buttons you would want to see.  any great sayings you love?  or would you rather just have a pattern or graphic? don’t hold back.  we want to knock it out of the park and we can not do it alone!
