don’t forget to float

coming back to work after a long weekend away is always such a bummer (no matter how much you LOVE your job, and i do!).

after having several hundred of these such weekends in my life, i got smart this time around.

i got smart and i floated.

yup, i floated.  i floated in the middle of a crowded pool.  booze slinging, girls singing, babies crying . . . and me . . . floating.

and for those moments that i floated, everything was quiet, and i didn’t care about how i looked, or what great idea i had to come up with

or if i was smart, or funny or pretty.

i just chilled.

cold chillin.

and let me just tell you . . . it felt good.  real good.

i highly recommend it.

if you don’t have a pool, fill up your bathtub.

if you don’t have tub, just lay quietly on your bed.

if you don’t have a bed – well, if you don’t have a bed, your problems may be bigger than this hole floating thing, so good luck.

i like to float because when your ears are under, everything else disappears!
