if it came down to having to choose between who we loved more, the new york city ballet or valentino, our hands would be tied. lucky for us, a beautiful and flawless collaboration between the two graced the lincoln center stage this year. sixteen costumes that included tulle tutus, fitted bodices, and ruby red pointe shoes were debuted at the ballet’s fall gala.
valentino himself described the intricate details in the collection: “(it includes) things that maybe people who are completely out of fashion, they don’t realize. but if somebody loves fashion, loves couture, they see it. they see that everything is perfectly done, with lots of little secrets …” we couldn’t have said it better ourselves! now we’re off to create some beautiful ban.dos with the help of those inspirational words. bravo!
