where have we been?

the answer to that question is…everywhere! even though us ban.do gals have been crazy busy here in the studio, we’ve still managed to find some time to play a little.

* we got our nails done. gotta keep those nails lookin’ fresh!

* we had lunch at goldie’s. have you had the burrata with roasted watermelon? so good.

* we had a tee party at splendid and it was SO fun. those bouquets are by oak and the owl…aren’t they gorgeous?

* we found some awesome garland at plastica on third street.

* jen and kelly went to new york for accessories the show…

* …while ali and tara had “work on the west side” day.

* we shot a fun video with mr. steve pappin, expert confetti thrower.

* kelly took a little vacay to sayulita for a wedding…so pretty!

we just had WAY too much fun at the splendid tee party last week! what a treat it was to party it up with some of our favorite gals (and guys). and it was all poms and tees as far as the eye can see …we think they make the perfect pair, no? and it wouldn’t be a party without a smilebooth…these are just a taste of some of our favorites. check out the rest here…you guys really now how to work a photo booth!

the glitz and glamour of moulin rouge

diamonds, lace, jeweled shoes, and floor length ostrich plumes? yeah, we’re listening… 450 costume designs later, the infamous parisian caberet came to life in the movie moulin rouge.

you can never go wrong with a pale pink bodice covered in jewels and sparkly heart motifs, and satine, nicole kidman’s character , totally agrees. the bodice was paired with nylon stockings, satin heels, a feather plume skirt, gloves, and bright gold diamantes bracelets to create the “pink diamond” costume that has our stomachs fluttering.  inspiration for this look was drawn from early bollywood films and iconic glam from the fanciest of divas from the ‘40s and ‘50s.

if you know how we can get our hands on this one-of-a-kind beauty, holla at ya girls. we’re looking for something flashy to wear out this weekend, and there’s just something about diamante hearts and gold fringe that screams, “wear me!” heck, you might even catch us on stage doing the can-can or singing our version of “diamonds are a girls best friend”

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER: are you internet obsessed and a social media expert? then we. need. you! must have in depth experience with wordpress, twitter, facebook, pinterest, instagram, google+, youtube, and google analytics. basically anything and everything internet related. needs to be a self starter! got an idea for a great blog post? make it happen! we’re looking for someone that is ready to think big and ready to think out of the box! in terms of the nitty gritty, our expert needs to be:

- incredibly organized

- a multitasker and proactive

- responsible and reliable and resourceful

- has a finger on the pulse of social media trends and innovation

- able and excited to create, execute, implement social media content

- knowledgeable about ban.do brand and product

- has a good grasp of ban.do style and voice

- has sparkle and knows how to use it

- must be in the los angeles area

- this is a paid position depending on experience with a trial period to start.

DESIGN ASSISTANT: we are looking for a rad design assistant.  that’s right, DESIGN assistant. this is the fun stuff people! our design assistant must have great style and great skills…sewing skills to be exact.  millinery or accessory design experience will get you some brownie points…and it helps if you love sequins, vintage flowers, sparkly gems, and hair accessories of course! our design assistant will be assisting in the creation of new samples, prepping materials for sample making and sourcing fabric and other raw materials. we’d love to hear how good you are…even better if you can show us by sending along your portfolios/website/etc… for the specifics, our design assistant must be:

- detail oriented and super resourceful

- a problem solver

- quick and efficient

- someone that thinks outside the box

- has a car…there will be runs for materials

- is neat and tidy…we like our studio clean!

- must be in the los angeles area

- this is a paid position depending on experience with a trial period to start.

STUDIO INTERN: are you a detailed oriented, multi-tasking superstar who is motivated and willing to help out on anything and everything? we’re looking for people who are extremely organized, hard working, efficient, responsible, resourceful and drum roll please….proactive! we’re a hard working, fun loving bunch so someone full of sunshine is a must! of course, a love for all things ban.do, bright colors, sequins, candy, polka dot straws and bubbly water is a plus! here are some of the fun tasks that could be all yours:

- office organzing and cleaning

-  inventory

-  assisting with shipping and distribution

-  product packaging

-  basic errands

-  hanging out with the ban.do crew

-  would be awesome if you had a car and a laptop

-  must be in the los angeles area

-  and any and all awesome things awesome that pop up here at the studio.
